  This paper is the summary of the work done during the ISTH workshop. It shows that instrument response related to the FS/FSC parameter is highly variable, and depends on the status of an individual instrument,which needs to be recalibrated on a regular basis. This international workshop concluded that Beckman Coulter and Becton Dickinson instruments show different behaviours in attempt to standardize MP counts based on Megamix.
